Finding this wonderful shop was the highlight of our trip. We walked out with all kinds of goodies for our loved ones and a few for ourselves. They were kind enough to let us stay a few minutes after closing and they even gift wrapped a few of my items. If you are looking for special pens/pencils, books, artisan soaps, Men's shaving supplies, hand paint paper from Japan or any other well made gift you could possibly think of.You NEED to go to this shop!! We met the shop's owner (Lovely, Kind Man) and two gentlemen who worked there (very knowledgeable, helpful and sweet). The star of this shopping mall was Tabula Rasa! We left with some books that were on sale for prices lower than Amazon. The folks who worked there were kind and very helpful, but didn't hover. A big section on Utah history and practically any other subject you can imagine. Comfy chairs to sit in and to look over all the books you want to buy. With the new student housing being built across the street, this would be a good opportunity to bring in some businesses that will help bring this place back to life.

To get this place on its feet, it really needs to get more tenants that will attract more of the general public. Whole Foods is probably the most 'normal' business in the whole complex. I would not shop at the majority of the stores here either. I'm honestly not surprised with the low amount of foot traffic. It was just a bit depressing and not very upbeat sounding. I also didn't particularly care for the overhead music playing in the corridors. However, a lot of the businesses that are here are a bit too odd and quirky, in my opinion. It's disappointing to see that this place isn't that popular - it definitely has the potential to be. Just like the Gateway, there's a handful of vacant stores and an apparent low visitation rate.

I came here around noon on a Saturday and there were hardly any people here.

I love the old brick, the old floors, and the architecture in general.
